The Advanced Air Mobility Institute has signed a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Grey Jay, an equitable mobility advocacy group based in Montreal, QC, Canada, and Montana First Nation (MFN) Management, based in Maskwacis, Alberta, Canada.

This agreement aims to explore drone technology solutions addressing essential mobility and logistics challenges faced by the Montana First Nation community, including identifying key barriers such as drone selection, pilot training, regulatory clarity, airspace governance, and community involvement.

CEO and Founder of Grey Jay, Elham Boozarjomehri, shared his vision stating, “At Grey Jay, our dream is to make Canada the first country to leverage advancements in air mobility, such as drones and air taxis, to improve mobility equity. Together with creative partners such as the Montana First Nation management team and the AAM Institute, we are designing a more affordable, just, and greener future that addresses the essential mobility needs of our indigenous communities. Elbows up for a just and green future.” Grey Jay focuses on advocacy and innovation to improve mobility equity through advanced air technologies.
The partners aim to propose actionable solutions, develop guidelines, and support MFN Management in implementing a drone service for medical supplies, mail delivery, emergency responses, and water advisory notifications.

“As a First Nation owned company, we are always exploring innovative and sustainable solutions that can bring value to our community and other indigenous and non-indigenous communities in Canada and around the world. We see this partnership as an opportunity for all parties to work together to achieve some of these goals,” stated George Addai, General Manager at MFN Management. MFN Management champions sustainable development solutions tailored to indigenous communities.
AAM Institute Founder and President, Dan Sloat added, “Advocating for mobility equity, especially for Indigenous Peoples like the Montana First Nation, alongside innovative leaders like Elham and George is precisely aligned with our Institute’s mission. Special Thank you to our Liaison to Sweden, Isabelle Nyroth, for her early support of this initiative with UAS expertise as Founder of the drone ops consulting firm, Yvarbrims.” This MoU represents the shared commitment of the partners to build meaningful relationships and innovate for community-focused and environmentally sustainable air mobility solutions.
